The cycle IBB seminars is a scientific activity aimed to give visibility to the research being done nowadays in the Botanical field. Since its first edition in 2014, this initiative has served to create a space to exchange scientific and methodologic knowledge between researches, students and people interested in this science discipline. Although Botany is usually the topic of these seminars, they are also open to other research fields related to plants such as Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution, Biogeography or Conservation.

The Seminars have a monthly periodicity and are usually held  on the last tuesday of each month at the Sala Salvador of the Botanical Institute of Barcelona (IBB). Usually, the presentations tend last about 30 – 45 minutes and include a final turn of questions and answers at the end. They are open to general public and personalized assistance certificates can be requested.

If you do research related to Botany (from a biodiversity, ecological, evolutive, biogeographical or conservative point of view) and you want to disseminate your work, you can participate as a speaker in the IBB seminars. To do so you only have to write an email to infoibb@ibb.csic.es pointing the thematic and the approximate date you would like to do the seminar. All speakers get a participation certificate by the IBB.
